A Lancaster food club was broken into over the weekend with damage caused to the portacabin used to store the supplies

Vandals have raided a Lancaster food bank, stealing vital supplies from vulnerable families in the local area.

On Saturday , the club's portacabin was broken into and food stolen from inside. This came as a huge blow to the group as well as the community at large, as the food is used to support families, including those in food poverty. As a result of the incident, the Food for Thought Food Club have set up a Go Fund Me. They are hoping to use any money raised to secure their portacabin for the future, in case any break-ins happen again.

Whilst closing in on their £1,000 Go Fund Me target, the club also thanked those who had donated, saying they are closer to being able to replace what had been stolen and repair and secure the portacabin.
