'It's a day to amplify the trans community, our friends and family,' the president of Lancaster Pride says.

Members of the transgender community and allies came together in Lancaster on Friday ahead of International Transgender Day of Visibility this weekend.'It's a day to amplify the trans community, our friends and family. We just always do this every year, just some games, some food and just have a fun time and celebrate,' Lancaster Pride president Tiffany Shirley said.

Kui said she's proud to be a part of the trans community and has the hope that events like these bring more understanding to the larger population.'Just like you may dress a certain way or do certain things to make you feel better, it's just that's our particular way. Especially when a lot of us may be hiding or creating those safe spaces so we can all feel visible. We can all be ourselves,' she said.
