East Lancs police offer 'free bed and breakfast' after helping cannabis farmers to 'cut crops'
Police in East Lancs showed they have a sense of humour after offering free bed and board to drug dealers.
Officers from the Pendle Community Policing Team carried out a raid at a property in Moore Street, Nelson, today where they discovered a cannabis grow. A picture of the seized Class B plants showed they were mature and being grown in a professional set-up. The policing team said "it's not ok to grow and sell cannabis" and have vowed to continue their crackdown on drugs. They urged members of the community to report any suspicions that a neighbour is growing cannabis. In a post on Facebook police said: "Once again we have assisted the cannabis cultivating community by cropping a grow on Moore Street in Nelson. We will also assist in finding the 'grower' and look at providing bed and breakfast for their efforts.
"It is not 'ok' to grow and sell cannabis and we will continue to target addresses and individuals. Any address you are concerned about regarding this subject please call 101."
