Courtland Thornton, 31, was arrested Friday in Hawthorne, where he allegedly attempted to hide in a backyard to elude officers. Police say he’s the assailant in the harrowing video.
Police have made an arrest in the Sept. 14, 2023, robbery in which a man repeatedly knocks a female store clerk to the ground while stealing merchandise in LA’s Chinatown. Officer arrested Courtland Thornton, 31, Friday, Oct. 13, in Hawthorne.
Thornton is suspected in a robbery that occurred just before noon Sept. 14 on the 800 block of North Broadway near North Spring Street, authorities said.
