A saltwater crocodile almost 4 metres long seen stalking residents and dogs in the remote Northern Territory has been removed from a waterway in the territory's west.
A 3.63-metre saltwater crocodile has been shot in the Baines River in the remote NT after reports it was stalking people and eating community dogs.
A saltwater crocodile that was stalking remote residents and eating dogs has been shot and removed from a Top End river, ending up as a feast for a nearby Aboriginal community. Following the crocodile's removal, the animal was placed in the back of a police wagon and transported to the nearby remote Aboriginal community of Bulla.Remote sergeant Andrew McBride told ABC News Breakfast the animal was "cooked up into crocodile tail soup, he was on the barbecue, a few of the pieces were wrapped up in banana leaves and cooked underground".
