Police say they were attacked with fireworks and bricks.
Bricks and fireworks were thrown in the direction of officers at the scene in the Alexandria area of West Dunbartonshire.
Police patrols have since been stepped up in the area, and two 17-year-olds and a 19-year-old were arrested, and later released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date. "Objects including bricks and fireworks were thrown at officers and public order trained officers were called to assist. The crowd later dispersed. We have a duty to ensure the safety of everyone involved and although no officers were injured, this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable.
