NSW Police have dismantled a large-scale drug ring operation, seizing a significant amount of prohibited drugs and uncovering a clandestine laboratory producing psilocybin.
At about 8.50am yesterday, police stopped a car in Sydney Olympic Park, where they arrested two men, aged 45 and 30.At about 9.30am yesterday, police arrested a 28-year-old man at a cafe in West Ryde. He was also charged with drug supply. All three men were refused bail and will appear in court today. At about 9.50am yesterday, police carried out a search warrant in Pyrmont, where they allegedly discovered a clandestine lab producing psilocybin, or magic mushrooms.
Officers said it was the largest such lab NSW police had ever found in a residential apartment. Police also executed search warrants at Oatlands, Campsie, Epping, Rydalmere, West Ryde and Pyrmont, where they seized a large amount of prohibited drugs including 100 bags of magic mushrooms. Police will allege in court the group were responsible for the large-scale supply of a range of drugs including magic mushrooms, cocaine and methylamphetamine
