More than 46 firefighters have been battling an ongoing blaze at a builder's merchants in Larne tonight

A tweet from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service at around 10.45pm said: "NIFRS have been called to a fire in a timber store at MacBlair, Builders Merchants, Larne, at 19.58hrs tonight. Six fire appliances, an aerial appliance and a command support unit from Kilrea, The incident is ongoing at present."
Appliances from nearby Ballyclare, Whitehead, Carrickfergus and a specialist turntable appliance from Belfast are at the scene. No cause of ignition has yet been established. NIFRS North said: "Fire crews from Larne, Whitehead, Carrickfergus, Ballyclare and a turntable ladder from Belfast Command are tackling a major fire in the Station Road area of Larne.The PSNI said Station Road and Circular Road in the town will remain closed with the incident is dealt with.
