Despite the festive spirit, crowds have been testing the patience of some shoppers, with Rundle Mall management urging people to remain respectful of retail workers during the busy period. Retail workers are working incredibly hard at the moment, and it is one of the busiest periods of the year, so remember queues might be a little longer than usual, Rundle Mall manager Andrew White said.

As the Christmas season reaches its peak, Adelaide's Rundle Mall has transformed into an ocean of shoppers, with many leaving their gift-buying to the very last minute. Rundle Mall and other major centres in Adelaide's suburbs, including Tea Tree Plaza, Marion, and West Lakes, remain open until midnight, offering a final chance for gift-givers to complete their lists. The last-minute rush has resulted in an influx of shoppers, with nearly one million people passing through Rundle Mall alone in the past five days.Rundle Mall will remain open until 6pm on Christmas Eve to cater to any remaining last-minute shoppers
