Niall Currie heaped praise on experienced defender Ross Redman after he came off the bench to help inspire Portadown to another crucial late, late show. They followed up Eoghan McCawl's 97th minute winner at Institute last Saturday with another last gasp goal this time to see off promotion rivals Bangor at Shamrock Park on Friday night. The game was balanced on a knife-edge going into the fourth minute of stoppage time with the sides level at 1-1.
When it looked like the teams would have to settle for a point apiece Redman whipped in a trademark cross which Bangor 'keeper James Taylor could only push into the path of Kenny Kane, who dispatched the ball into the net for the winner.
