His remarks come after the 54-year-old Friends star was found dead in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home on October 28. “His career really was impacted by his addiction and sobriety problems which he was the first to talk about and address including in his autobiography,” Mr Schneider told Sky News Australia.
“I know that one of the things Matthew Perry has said over the years, is he wants to be remembered as much for helping people sort of understand sobriety and understand addiction as much as they remember him for being a star of Friends. “If he can make a difference for people who are struggling with addiction, he will have really mattered.”
