Lawyers who represent more than 40 former Washington Commanders employees sent a letter to Roger Goodell, requesting a meeting to discuss 'serious concern' they have stemming from ESPN’s recent bombshell article.

They wrote that some of their clients only participated in Wilkinson's investigation on the condition that their information would not made accessible to Snyder, citing a fear of retaliation if their names were disclosed.

An NFL spokesperson did not immediately reply to an email from USA TODAY Sports asking if Goodell had received the letter and plans to meet with Banks and Katz. "Neither the team nor Mr. Snyder was ever advised by the NFL, Ms. Wilkinson, or anyone else, about the progress of the investigation, or who had been interviewed in connection with it — either during the investigation or afterwards," the spokesperson said."Even now, the team and Mr. Snyder have not received any information from the NFL or Ms. Wilkinson on these matters."

Though the focus has remained on Snyder, the NFL has also drawn scrutiny for its handling of Wilkinson's initial investigation., the league signed a common interest agreement with the Commanders related to the Wilkinson probe that"preserved the Commanders' influence over the investigation" and allowed the two entities to"pursue a 'joint legal strategy.
