In the announcement, the team was not specific on exactly what would change, but they did mention that there will be new and reworked augments, map adjustments and balance changes to make more champions viable in the mode, which has been a bit of a sticking point so far, with some champions just not being worth playing.
The team also teased that the 2v2v2v2 format may change slightly, as there may be the option to play with more than one friend. A mode with three players on each team could work pretty well in the current system, but adding any more than that might need a more serious rework in terms of maps and power spikes.
