England captain Leah Williamson signs a new contract with Women's Super League side Arsenal.
Leah Williamson made nine Women's Super League appearances for Arsenal last season after returning from serious injury
The 27-year-old defender has spent her entire senior career with the Gunners, who have not revealed how long the deal is for, making 232 appearances since 2014. "Everyone knows what Arsenal means to me, but I think every time I sign a new contract, I feel that love ignite all over again," she said."This is a place where I can still continue to grow, develop and be challenged," she said.
Williamson, who previously signed a new deal with Arsenal in 2022, has re-established herself as a key player for Arsenal since suffering a knee ligament injury which ruled her out of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
