Trillick sealed their place in the last four of the Tyrone SFC with a hard-fought one-point win over Edendork at Carrickmore on Saturday evening.Lee Brennan was on target to nudge his side into a narrow lead with 62 minutes played before Niall Morgan had a chance to force extra-time for Edendork.
Edendork’s county stars combined for what proved to be the game’s only goal as Conn Kilpatrick forced a turnover in his own back-line. The ball was worked to McCurry on the wing and he delivered a stunning long-range pass into Morgan, who was operating at full-forward. A booming effort from midfielder Harry Óg Conlon and a brilliant point off the left from McCurry gave Conleith Gilligan’s side a 1-6 to 0-7 lead at half-time.
Edendork went close at the other end with McCurry’s floating delivery finding Morgan in front of goal and his fisted effort narrowly failed to find the net.
