The group claim they have not been allowed to preach on 'certain subjects'
A Leeds Christian street preacher is part of a group which has shunned the church, in favour of meeting up in a Pret A Manger every Sunday.
“There’s a lot of people out of the church system now, they don’t agree with the government. They closed down the church during lockdown and we carried on meeting. There are so many different things we don’t agree with.” The 62-year-old was raised Catholic against his will, never believing in the doctrines. When he was an adult his disillusion continued, and he formed an attachment with alcohol. It was the change he saw in religious people’s lives which motivated him to learn more about the church and convert.
