Eric was worried bricks flying through bus windows would kill him, agonising over today's youths
A Leeds grandad opened up on how he feared for his life after yobs lobbed bricks through a bus window.
West Yorkshire Police have since been investigating the terrifying incidents which occurred on March 4 and 5. The force has been sifting through surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the offenders and patrols have been increased in the area.Grandfather-of-two Eric Hall, 73, has been a regular bus passenger in Farnley for the past 20 years. He said he's witnessed youths chucking bricks through bus windows on numerous occasions.
Eric said: “I’ve seen bricks thrown through the window. I've been through the estate near here coming through to Leeds. I’ve only seen it about three or four times, if that. Once was on an afternoon and once was at night time. That was about it, really. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police has said: "Police received reports of two incidents in the Farnley area of Leeds on March 4 and March 5 where stones were thrown at passing buses causing smashed windows. There were no reported injuries. Bus services have since been re-instated and thankfully there have been no recurrences.
