The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Jonjo Shelvey is linked with a move away from the City Ground
That’s according to website TEAMtalk which claims a shortage of options has led the Whites to considering ending the 31-year-old’s short spell at the City Ground.
They point to the loss of several key players, with Tyler Adams the most recent to leave after sealing a £20m-plus to Bournemouth. However, the American is not the only to depart Elland Road since relegation, with other central midfielders Adam Forshaw, Weston McKennie and Marc Roca also no longer at the club.
As a result Shelvey, who appears unwanted at Forest, seems a logical target as an experienced player who has previously won the Championship with Newcastle United. The former Liverpool man left St James’ Park for Forest in January this year and made eight appearances before falling out of favour. He was not involved in the final seven matches of last season and has not been included in either of the two Premier League games this season and Forest are understood to be keen to cut squad numbers after last summer’s big investment.
