Police have released an update:
West Yorkshire Police have released a statement about the "security threat" at Leeds United's Elland Road Stadium.
The Premier League club shut down their club offices and shop after the incident reported last night at 9.49pm. Officers have been seen investigating the area, sealing off the stadium and there are reports of staff being asked to stay away. A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called to attend at Elland Road football stadium following reports of a security threat to the premises." to establish the credibility of that threat. The report was received at 9.49pm last night."
Leeds United issued a statement earlier this morning. The club spokesman said: "Leeds United’s offices, ticket office, Foundation offices and club shop at Elland Road will be closed until further notice on the advice of the police.Click here to get all the latest breaking news and top stories straight to your inbox from our free newsletter.
