Daniel Farke will make some late calls ahead of Friday's Yorkshire derby
Leeds United have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of Friday's Yorkshire derby with Sheffield United. Boss Daniel Farke has confirmed wingers Manor Solomon and Daniel James are in contention to face the Blades, having recovered from their respective knocks.
Defender Max Wober underwent meniscus surgery earlier this month and was expected to be out of action for six weeks, but Farke says the player is ahead of schedule. Although Wober is not yet ready to be considered for selection, Farke says the centre-back could return to international before the next international break.
"It’s always tricky during the international break for a team with so many players away," said Farke. "I also spoke about my attitude, I’m struggling to understand the fixture list to play on Friday night after the international break. "It is a bit disappointing and sad because it’s a great game. Normally both teams want to be at their best, Friday evening is a bit disappointing, we know about the schedule list and for that no complaints. Tricky without team training to prepare but we want to find good solutions."Get Leeds United news to your phone with our WhatsApp community Want the inside track on transfers?
