The heat is cranking up on Jesse Marsch's managerial hotseat after Leeds United extended their winless run to seven league games with a 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Leeds are only separated by the relegation zone on goal difference, and have won the fewest games in the Premier League since they beat Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road in August. Marsch has constantly claimed that the Whites are heading in the 'right direction', but the statistics unsurprisingly prove that not to be the case.The Whites accumulated seven of their 18 points during their opening three league games. Since then, Marsch's men have posted just 11 points, with no other side registering fewer during that period.
Leeds have been unable to escape the relegation fight all season, and have now been dropped right into the heart of it after suffering their 10th league defeat of the season. Furthermore, the Whites face back-to-back fixtures against rivals Manchester United home and away in the next week. The Red Devils have won seven of their last 10 league games, and have lost just two of their previous 25 matches across all competitions.
