Leeds United have set out plans to mark the lives of supporters Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight around the 24th anniversary of their tragic deaths
Leeds United will remember the lives of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight over the coming weeks as the 24th anniversary of their tragic deaths approaches. Chris and Kev were murdered while supporting the Whites in Turkey on April 5, 2000, and this time of year is an important period of reflection for friends, family and the football club.
Ahead of that match, delegates from United and Hull will each lay wreaths at the men’s plaque outside the Jack Charlton Stand. The plaque will also be the meeting point for a minute’s silence at 1pm on Friday, April 5, the anniversary of their deaths.
