Leeds United are hard at work as they prepare for Saturday's clash against Southampton
Leeds United are busy preparing for this Saturday’s Championship clash with Southampton at St Mary’s. The Whites will be looking to string together successive wins for the first time this season after seeing off Watford convincingly last time out, but they know they have their work cut out against the Saints, who came down with Leeds from the Premier League last season.
After so long on the sidelines, his involvement will come as a huge relief and, with light at the end of the tunnel, he’ll be champing at the bit to take the next step and get back into the action. It’s worth noting Patrick Bamford appeared to be moving well, too, as he looks to make his first appearance of the season this weekend.
Such competition is clearly driving performance and it seems as though Meslier is being kept on his toes. Strength in depth The overriding feeling one gets while watching the training session is about the size and quality of the group Farke is working with. Unlike in similar videos over summer or last season, there were no U21s players involved with Leeds having the numbers required within the senior group to go through their drills without reinforcements.
