Leicester fans fooled into cheering fake goal at Everton but are staying up right now LCFC EFC
Some Leicester fans were led to believe Everton had fallen behind in their game, but the Foxes faithful had the last laugh in the first half.
Fake news was filtered through at the King Power Stadium that relegation rivals Everton went a goal down at home to Bournemouth.Credit: AFPThe Leicester fans were understandably delighted but it proved to be a false alarm with the Goodison Park clash currently goalless. However, Dean Smith's side are staying up as things stand with Harvey Barnes' composed finish putting them 1-0 up at home to West Ham.
It means Leicester will finish above Everton on goal difference, with Leeds, who are 2-0 down against Tottenham, also joining the Toffees and Southampton in the Championship as things stand.
