The former Leeds United youngster will face his former club this weekend at Portman Road
Former Leeds United youngster Leif Davis has revealed Ipswich Town's grand plans to play in the Premier League and says he wouldn't be where he is today without the tutorage of Marcelo Bielsa. The former Whites' boss handed the Newcastle-born left-back his debut at Elland Road and he'd make 14 senior appearances during his four-year stint in Yorkshire.
“But then he told us to start running and told me I was a good athlete and passer of the ball. He wanted me to push on high and that helped me massively in my game last season.”Davis was in and around the Leeds United squad that won promotion to the Championship and was a bit-part player in a loan spell with Bournemouth in their promotion-winning campaign in 2022.
The early Championship leaders are many people's outsiders for promotion and Davis says Premier League football is the target for his side next season.
