The Hibees are on the hunt for a new boss and their former gaffer has been widely tipped.
Neil Lennon has responded to talk that he is an ideal candidate to become Hibs manager again - and admits he WOULD be interested in an Easter Road return.
The Irishman has been out of management since leaving Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia. He has had two stints at the Celtic helm alongside a crack at English football with Bolton and he was a fans favourite within Hibs ranks during his reign at Easter Road. Lennon guided them out of the Championship after arriving in 2016, and then to a fourth placed finish in his first Premiership campaign in Leith.
He departed in January 2019 after being suspended by the club following an exchange between him and several employees of the Easter Road club. Lee Johnson has been emptied by Hibs chiefs following a winless start to the league campaign that has them bottom with three defeats from three, with Aston Villa also teaching the Hibees a bruising 5-0 Europa Conference League lesson in the capital.
Lennon has been widely mentioned by sections of the support and pundits, and now the man himself has responded. Speaking to PLZ, he simply replied 'of course' when asked over a possible return as Hibs manager.Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.
