We have both Ukrainians and Russians living in Utah. The war has been the main news story for weeks. Ukraine has been a free democratic country since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1996. Putin, the current dictator of Russia, invaded Ukraine without the permission of his own people. That’s what a despot does even if it means thousands of soldier and civilian casualties on both sides … following in the footsteps of Hitler and Stalin.
America used to belong to 60 million Native Americans who were almost destroyed by European invaders. The Ukrainians are outnumbered 2:1 by Russian invaders, while their democratic neighbors watch and donate supplies.
