Now more than ever before, clean energy is powering homes and businesses across Utah. Recognizing this, Gov. Spencer Cox recently issued a proclamation celebrating Sept. 25-29 as Clean Energy Week in the state of Utah.
Utah embraces an all-of-the-above energy portfolio: renewable sources produce 16% of the state’s electricity generation, and Utah is home to the nation’s only uranium ore mill still in operation. The governor recognizes the economic opportunity, job creation and healthier environment that comes from embracing clean energy.
Thanks to Gov. Cox, Utah is an active participant in this national celebration and continues to invest in critical clean energy initiatives.
