Peter Dutton wants us to see his softer, human side. By way of example, he now, as leader of the Liberal Party, apparently laments boycotting Kevin Rudd’s 2008 apology to the stolen generations . His colleagues, too, assure us he’s a decent bloke behind that serious, expressionless facade.B
It was a cowardly pantomime from a desperate government designed to somehow undo the wrong and sway voters to their cause. But it left the confused released persons asking: Why then did I lose 10 years of my life?And where was the decency in the so-called robodebt saga? It was an unlawful government money grab foisted upon unsuspecting social service recipients, some of whom took their own lives rather than face the perceived reality of a fabricated debt fiction.
Apparently my most recent crime against humanity in Joe’s unique worldview is having contributed to the loss of the federal seat of Griffith to the Greens – a seat I last represented in 2013. Joe might like to know that I have just spent four weeks on the campaign trail around Australia at the request of Labor’s national and state secretaries and campaigned in 25 different seats – including Reid, Bennelong, Parramatta, Chisholm, Higgins, Boothby and Tangney, all of which were won by Labor.
The significant cost of the demerger and associated disruption were a factor for many investors, I am sure.Mike Cannon-Brookes exhibits a self-blessed presence in his commerce. His financial/commercial mind, thoughts and acts are self-blessed with virtue.
