A concerned parkgoer has said his visit to a Nottinghamshire site was ruined by pigeons. David Stainwright, of Arnold, said people were ignoring signs warning them not to feed the pigeons when he visited his local park.

What a difference since the last time. It was now very neat and tidy, the lake was clean and the fountain was actually working. We decided to pop to the café for a snack and drink. What a mistake.
There were feral pigeons everywhere, on tables, seats and on the roof of the cafe . People were taking no notice of the signs saying “DO NOT FEED THE PIGEONS”. There was nowhere to sit safely because of droppings everywhere. It ruined our long-awaited visit.
