East Bay Times Letters to the Editor for April 23, 2022
I could not believe the picture and story of the bull being killed by a bullfighter. I can’t unsee that picture, and it saddens me greatly. I read the story thinking that something good would follow, such as it was now banned in Madrid.
I visited Barcelona about 10 years ago and was very happy to hear that bullfighting was banned there. The activity is disgusting. We already kill way too many animals in the world, and this being simply for people’s amusement sickens me. Slowly torturing an animal in any way should always be banned. Period. I wish the editors had thought before publishing that picture.
