E-commerce marketplace operator eBay says consumers are flocking to its platform as cost of living pressures rise in an attempt to find deals and bypass supply challenges plaguing the rest of the retail sector.

“People took advantage of our end of financial year sales nabbing a bargain on laptops and appliances, while to make a quick buck, we’re seeing people sell pre-loved men’s fashion, video games and LEGO,” the spokeswoman said. Ebay said a number of product categories that grew on during the start of the pandemic were still gaining momentum.
