A couple who have put their 'heart and soul' into running their Italian restaurant say the rising cost in their business energy bills has become 'unbearable'.

"I rang them crying, saying we can't survive if we have to keep paying £4,500. We needed to know if they were going to keep charging us that or if we'd have to close our doors.

Angela added she is also worried about the impact on her staff members. The business currently employs nine people, but she is concerned about the possibility of needing to make redundancies to keep them afloat or staff looking elsewhere because they can't afford to pay a good wage.
