An annual fundraiser by Leyland Trucks’ Helping Hand charity arm has raised more than £7,000 thanks to generous donations by several Lancashire and national sponsors.
Sunday 9 July will see fun runners and experienced athletes lace up to walk, jog or run 1k or 10k around the scenic Cuerden Valley Park. The series of events then culminates on Saturday 19 August with a group taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Stuart Derbyshire, Leyland Trucks prototype manager and #LinkingLeyland event lead, said: “The continued generosity of our sponsors is extraordinary, and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to each organisation whose donations will make a major difference to those locally.
