NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian pledges plenty of cash for hospitals, and unveils a signature policy about after school care while Labor Leader Michael Daley keeps the spotlight on stadiums as both parties launch their election campaigns.

A key promise to provide before and after-school care to all parents of children in public primary schools by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has drawn loud applause at today's Liberal Party election launch.

"We know a major challenge for working families is accessing affordable and convenient before and after-school care," Ms Berejiklian said. Prime Minister Scott Morrison also attended the event at Penrith Panthers Leagues Club, but he did not give a speech. "We have a strong track record when it comes to delivering health infrastructure, having already built or upgraded more than 100 hospitals and other health facilities across the State, with another 100 on the way," Ms Berejiklian said.At the same time, 50 kilometres east, Labor launched its campaign in the seat of East Hills, with former premiers Barry Unsworth, Bob Carr and Kristina Keneally seated on stage at the Revesby Workers' Club.

Amid cheers and raised placards, Michael Daley, took the stage, triumphant and hand in hand with his deputy Penny Sharpe."We are a family, we are a tribe, the liberals are afraid of us, they do not have this and in 13 days' time we will show them that their fear is justified when we win the election.
