Former Labor MP Michael Danby says it’s clear the NSW and Victorian Liberals are trying to adopt a more “progressive environment policy” to insure themselves against a repeat of the “teals phenomena” seen in the federal election.
“But I’m not sure whether it insures or confuses, and that’s the key point,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Chris Smith. “And what do we do – all of us, both sides of politics – when electricity prices go up, a hundred per cent, 200 per cent, including for manufacturing, as we adopt more expensive renewables?”
