Clinical nurse specialist Linda Aitken’s preselection will pit her against Wanneroo mayor and Labor candidate Tracey Roberts, who was endorsed for the seat in August.
The Pearce election will be a local government showdown after City of Wanneroo councillor Linda Aitken was confirmed as the Liberal Party’s preferred replacement for Christian Porter.
WA Liberal president Richard Wilson sang Ms Aitken’s praises after the vote, which will be endorsed by the party’s state executive this Thursday.“Linda has represented her community as a City of Wanneroo councillor over the last eight years, working to make her community safe and secure, supporting local businesses to grow and improving council services.”
