The Hoops attacker - who just recently penned fresh terms to extend his stay in Glasgow - suffered an injury on international duty and will now spend an extended period of time on the sidelines.
Liel Abada will be out for up to FOUR months as Brendan Rodgers detailed his injury issue picked up during the international break.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "He's gone to London today for a scan but we think it is going to be around three to four months. Rodgers continued: "Signed a new deal and seemed happy. I was looking forward to continuing his development as there are obviously lots of areas he can improve on. It's a shame, it's a learning for him and he will work hard, hopefully get back and we will use him for the second part of the season."
