Campbell Fearing turns 23 years old in late January 2023. He's been fighting an aggressive form of leukemia since Thanksgiving and is seeking a blood stem cell donor. Anyone between 18 and 55 years old who is in good health can have their cheek swabbed on Jan. 22, 2023 at an event in Dallas. In this photo, Fearing holds an Olympic gold medal from Earl Young, an athlete who received a bone marrow donation. Young now travels the world recruiting donors.
And it could be vital for Campbell Fearing, who is currently living in a hospital and undergoing his second round of chemotherapy. His survival rate is not as high if he doesn’t get a blood stem cell transplant, which is also known as a bone marrow transplant.
