A light plane has crashed into waters off Redcliffe, prompting a dramatic operation to rescue the pilot and any passengers from the partially submerged aircraft.
The plane reportedly left Redcliffe Airport, near Rothwell, and crashed into the bayside waters about 9.10am on Sunday.A member of the public phoned police to report the crash, with images supplied to“It is a light plane and investigators are with it at the moment,” a police media spokeswoman said. “But we don’t have any further details because it is sort of submerged.
