'Like an episode of Utopia': Businesswoman accuses Libs of stealing her pitch | Nigelgladstone
A female entrepreneur who had been in discussions with Government MPs and TAFE about what would become a NSW Liberal party election policy to help women set up and run a small business has described her experience as "like an episode of Utopia".
"Isn't it amazing to say that you will support female entrepreneurs but you won't pay the female entrepreneurs that design the program in the first place?" said Ms Bendall, who is taking legal advice over the matter."They can't comment on their election commitment during this time but the election commitment was based on my work, which they announced on Facebook," Ms Bendall said. "It's just like Utopia.
"We quoted it all out to TAFE, we did all of the work, 100's of thousands of dollars worth of work and then they announced it, and they didn't mention us and I had no knowledge they were going to announce it," she said. The NSW Government responded that the intention, following the state election, is to "run an expression of interest for potential partners in the program".
