A Southwest Airlines father-son pilot duo shared a last flight together before Captain Ruben Flowers retired.
“It’s been a long, robust and a great journey,” Flowers said. “It’s been a great journey to get to this point. I’ve just been taking the advice of my dad through the whole way with which route I should take and to pretty much be just like him.”
Captain Flowers’ career included working with Southwest’s Adopt-A-Pilot program. He shared this passion with not only his son, but also his brother, Chris and his cousin, Chuck, all pilots at Southwest. Flowers’ siblings are also pilots, too.
