A six year spell at Juventud Laguna followed before he joined Segunda Division side Las Palmas.
After making his senior debut in August 2019 at the age of 16 and later became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, it took just one month for Barca to swoop in and reach an agreement that would be effective in July 2020.Since his big move, the youngster has only continued to improve, signing a new long term contract with Barcelona in October last year which features a mammoth €1billion release clause.
Pedri has already made 91 appearances, scored 11 goals and made seven assists for the LaLiga giants in just over two years.And in less than a year of being at the Nou Camp, the teenager received his first call-up to the Spanish senior team.Spain were heading into the group stage of their 2022 World Cup qualifiers when Luis Enrique could no longer ignore the new Barca starlet and called him up to his team.
And Pedri went on to make his debut in the 1-1 draw against Greece, coming on for Dani Olmo after an hour of the game. After being selected in the 24-man squad for Euro 2020 and starting against Sweden, Pedri broke the record for being Spain’s youngest player to represent them at a European Championship at 18 years, six months and 18 days old.
