The tribute to the legendary filmmaker comes after Lily, Martin and Leonardo DiCaprio reunited to discuss all things Killers of the Flower Moon.
When 96th annual Academy Award nominations were revealed, Martin landed his 10th Best Director nod while Lily received one for Best Actress, becoming the first Native American to be nominated in that category. In the film, Leo plays World War I veteran Ernest Burkhart, who falls in love with an Osage woman, Lily's Mollie Kyle.'He went so far into the complexities and contradictions of a man who was so weak, so malleable, who did such unspeakable things, but who also truly loved his wife,' the filmmaking icon explained.
'And to this powerful film's nine other nominations - telling this story with all of you has been an honor.' 'We had just started developing the character, and I felt that Lily had it in her. That she would seriously find her.'
