Lime Rock's place in the American racing canon has been set since shortly after it opened in 1956. It has been the Hudson Valley's home of professional racing ever since, hosting just about every form of closed-fender racing you can imagine. Trans-Am, Can-Am, Grand-Am, IMSA GTP, Group 4, and just about every form of GT racing you can imagine have raced at the track over the years. These days, the schedule is headlined by a race for both of IMSA's GTD classes.
Lime Rock is for more than just professional racers, though. The track hosted an official drifting event for the first time when Grid Life visited last year.
