2GB host Ben Fordham revealed on Wednesday the Senator will pursue the matter if it is not referred to the watchdog sooner but did not provide an exact time frame.

Ms Gallagher’s department was responsible for Ms Higgins’ compensation claim which was settled in December 2022.
