Linda Robson says she wants her children to suffocate her if she ever develops dementia 😳
Her mother, Rita, eventually died at the age of 75 in 2013, after suffering from both dementia and stomachIf the unthinkable happened and Linda was diagnosed with the devastating progressive disease, she wants her children to ‘put a pillow over my face.’
She admitted developing dementia is her biggest fear,’ recalling how her mother weighed just five stone and ‘would have been traumatised if she knew she was having bed baths.’she previously told Loose Women producers that she wanted to have her children put a pillow over her face if she developed dementia and was told, ‘you can’t say that on TV’ – but insists ‘that’s what I feel like.
Linda said that in the early days of her illness, her mother was still doing major food shops forgetting there were only two of them living at home.The star lost her own mother to the devastating disease and said her mum would have been ‘traumatised’ had she been aware of what was happening to her The star has previously opened up about making plans for what she wants when her time comes, and wants her funeral to be a celebration of her life rather than a ‘terrible, upsetting thing.’
She told her fellow Loose Women panelists in December last year: ‘When I go, I’m 64 now so you do start thinking about it, I want on my tombstone, “Here lies potty mouth Nanny Linda”, that’s what I’m known on this programme.More:
