Take a listen to “The Stymph” by theoshaps, from the upcoming Netflix fantasy film TheSchoolForGoodAndEvil. The full soundtrack releases tomorrow, October 14!

Paul Feig's The School for Good and Evil, based on Soman Chainani's bestselling book series by the same name, releases on Netflix on October 19. The film's story centers on two friends who find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle as they attend an enchanted, magical school.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The score for The School for Good and Evil was composed by prolific composer Theodore Shapiro, whose credits include Tropic Thunder, Severance, and Jennifer's Body. Shapiro is a frequent collaborator of director Paul Feig's, having also worked on the 2016 Ghostbusters film and 2015's Spy. The School for Good and Evil gave Shapiro an opportunity to create a score as wide in scope as the magical world the story inhabits.

Listen to "The Stympth" & The School for Good and Evil's Soundtrack on October 14 "The Stymph" is reminiscent of some of Theodore Shapiro's action work in films like Tropic Thunder and 2016's Ghostbusters, with a whimsical edge that firmly roots it in the fantastical world of The School for Good and Evil.

The full soundtrack for The School for Good and Evil releases tomorrow, October 14, on streaming platforms a full week in advance of the film's debut on Netflix. To create a soundscape befitting such a sprawling world, Theodore Shapiro combined a large orchestra with Baroque harpsichords, medieval instruments, and modern music programming. Shapiro has stated that his goal for the soundtrack was to be cinematic and epic, but with a modern pop edge and sensibility.

Reframe How You Think About Self-CareReframe How You Think About Self-CareMany leaders tell themselves: “It’s so busy, I can’t afford to…(spend 7 hours sleeping, or stop to get lunch, or keep up my hobbies).” This framing, which casts investments in personal resilience as contrary to the best interests of an organization, is doing both you and your organization a great disservice. It’s time to take those hackneyed words, “our people are our greatest asset,” to heart. If you are an important asset, how could depriving, devaluing, and depreciating that asset by running it in harsh conditions, powering it with improper fuel, and neglecting routine maintenance possibly be good for your organization? Your resilience is a high-priority business issue if you’re leading a team through the stress of our fast-paced world. When you invest in proper sleep, nutrition, exercise, and play, you’ll have the self-control to manage your own reactions, the energy to be fully present for your team, the patience to listen and empathize, the wherewithal to make good decisions, and the stamina to keep it up for weeks or months. Investing in your resilience isn’t indulgent; it’s mission critical.
