The CDC is warning people across the U.S. to be wary of hard-boiled eggs, or products made from them, after linking a number of listeria infections to eggs sold by a Georgia company.

is linked to Almark Foods of Gainesville, GA. The company sells bulk hard-boiled eggs to food processors and manufacturers nationwide.bacteria in five states. Four people have been hospitalized, and a person in Texas died from the infection.

The agency says restaurants, grocery stores, and other food service operators use the eggs to make egg salad, deviled eggs, or salads and other ready-to-eat foods. But no recall has been ordered. The warning does not apply to boiled eggs Almark sells directly to consumers, the CDC says. See photos
