Hurricane Milton has continued to barrel towards the populous west-central Gulf Coast of Florida, with warnings of potentially life-threatening storm surges in place for some areas.

According to CNN’s coverage of the weather event, some counties and cities like Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel have declared general curfews for the people who have bunkered down to wait out the storm.
Florida meteorologist Noah Bergren was left stunned by the storm's intensity, admitting he was"at a loss for words" as he described the eerie danger the storm possesses.
